About Jeff Mosby
Jeff Mosby Customs is owned and operated by master leather and inlay artist Jeff Mosby of Myrtle Beach, SC. Jeff was a professional guitarist for several decades before deciding to focus more on his custom leather and inlay work. He still plays with his trio Chainsaw Annie from time to time with the focus on original material and some carefully chosen covers. He puts his experience on stage to good use when designing his custom straps and guitar covers. Jeff is also a highly skilled luthier/tech and is able to fully setup the guitars that he covers so that they are ready to play when the client receives it.
Jeff is originally from Fountain Valley, CA but relocated to South Carolina in 1989. His shop is located in Myrtle Beach, SC just down the road from the intercoastal waterway.
In addition to his leather endeavors Jeff is also a master inlay artist. He has done work for Paul Reed Smith Guitars, C.F. Martin, Knaggs Guitars and Kamaka Ukulele. His work has graced the covers and pages of calendars, national magazine ads and the guitars of many celebrity clients including Carlos Santana, John McLaughlin, Pat Travers, Barry Williams, Stephen Bishop, Jorma Kaukonen and Brad Paisley (his strap now resides in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN).
